Methodology
Scores and box scores come from the league feed. The numbers below do not: they are computed here from the full recorded archive, under fixed rules. This page states those rules so any figure on the site can be checked against them.
Record book and qualification
Career and season record tables are built from every recorded box score in the archive, not from a published leaderboard. A season only enters the single-season record tables when its regular-season finals have at least 95% box-score coverage — below that threshold the season is excluded entirely rather than ranked on partial data, because a leader computed from an incomplete season would outrank complete ones by accident. Counting statistics are summed from per-season totals; rate statistics are re-derived, never copied.
The record chase shown on Records is the same computation applied forward: the distance between an active player's current total and the next all-time mark, recomputed every time new results land.
Career aggregation
Career averages are games-weighted, not the mean of season averages: each season contributes in proportion to the games actually played in it. A player who played 4 games in one season and 38 in another is not treated as though those seasons counted equally. Where a statistic was not tracked league-wide for part of a career, the untracked seasons are excluded from that statistic rather than counted as zero, so an era without a recorded stat never drags a career rate down.
The archive behind these calculations currently covers 80 recorded seasons.
Compare
Compare puts two careers side by side on games-weighted career averages across a fixed set of categories and reports an edge — the count of categories each player leads. It is a category tally, not a rating or a ranking model: no weighting, no era adjustment and no opinion is applied, and a category neither player leads is reported as a tie rather than assigned.
Championship Run
Championship Run is a deterministic simulation, not a random toy and not an AI. Every draw derives from a seeded hash of (seed, round, purpose, choice), so the same seed and the same decisions always produce the same run — which is what makes a result shareable and replayable rather than a one-off. It uses the same real team and player data as the rest of the site, runs entirely in your browser, stores nothing and calls no network service. Because the engine is pure, the exact logic is verified in our build checks rather than just described here.
What is published
Pages are published from data, so a page only exists when its data does. Player pages are published for players with recorded statistics — currently 1163 players, of which 100 are in the phase 2 indexed set. Where a figure is missing from the archive, the section is omitted instead of estimated: see our Editorial Policy and AI Disclosure.
