Frequently Asked Questions
- Where does TakeOver Mode's data come from?
- Statistics come from official NBA statistics records (careers, seasons, awards and playoff history) and ESPN's public scores, schedules, rosters and box scores, rebuilt daily and after each night's games, with scores of games in progress updated about every five minutes. See our Editorial Policy for the full pipeline.
- How often is data updated?
- Scores of games in progress are refreshed about every five minutes. Statistics, standings, rosters, schedules and news are rebuilt once a day and again after each night's games are final. It is not a second-by-second feed.
- Are the player bios written by a person?
- No — bios are generated from real, verified statistics using a deterministic template, not written by a human editor or by open-ended AI.
- Is TakeOver Mode affiliated with National Basketball Association?
- No. This is an independent statistics and reference site, not an official or affiliated property.
